Honda has started taking the official bookings for the Amaze in India and soon, the Japanese manufacturer will launch the second generation of the vehicle in India. The Amaze was revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo and will be launched next month.
The new Amaze has been updated completely and it now looks nothing like the current generation of the Honda Amaze. The vehicle will get 8 new features that many Honda dealers are promoting. The new car will have a commanding position on the road, thanks to its new boxy design. The tail lamps have been updated and are now split. They also get a C-shaped design. Apart from that, the new Amaze will come with an illuminated push start/stop button.
For convenience, it will get a smart entry system with keyless entry. The Amaze will also become the first car in the segment to offer a diesel CVT with paddle shifters. The all-new Amaze will also feature cruise control, an advanced 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and steering mounted infotainment system controls.
The Honda Amaze gets design inspiration from the Civic and it looks very different from the current generation of the car. It gets a new grille, new headlamps, new bumper and new creases on the body. The car is now bigger in size and offers more space. The new Amaze looks premium with details like boot-lid-integrated spoilerand shark fin antenna.
Honda will continue to use the current engine options with the new Amaze. There will be a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of87 Bhp and 110 Nm. There is a 1.5-litre diesel engine too that generates a maximum power of 98.6 Bhp and peak torque of 200 Nm. Both the engine specifications are same as the current engine output. However, a major addition will be the CVT automatic transmission that will be offered with the diesel version of the vehicle. The CVT version will also be available with the petrol variant.
The car is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs. 5.5 lakh. Honda will also launch the all-new Civic and all-new CR-V in the Indian market soon. The brochure of the Honda Amaze is also out. To check the brochure, click here.
