By the way, the lower edge of the front bumper protruding forward also constantly risks first contact with the obstacle, when parking it needs to be neat.

Four is good, but six is ​​better

In the Ukrainian market Kia Rio is offered with two petrol engines in volume of 1,25 and 1,4 liters capacity of 84 and 100 l. from. respectively. The test car is equipped with a more powerful option. In the megalopolis, the hatchback with it is very fast and even sharp in places (in manual mode the transmissions are predominantly).

Outside the city, you can save a lot of fuel, if you go no faster than 90-100 km / h. With the exhibited “cruise” at approximately such values, the consumption stagnated at 5.7-5.8 liters. But if you add a little (or a lot), then the appetite increases almost twofold (at 125 km / h – already 8 liters per 100 km run). The whole hitch is in a small number of gears. Wow how I wanted to include the fifth, or better the sixth … Already after talking with the press office, we managed to find out that in the near future there will be a version with AKP for 6 programs. It must seriously change the nature of the machine.

Suspension – classical – with MacPherson struts in front and a beam from behind. By nature – it is resilient and knocked down, while on small unevennesses it is even very comfortable. Its only drawback is some noisiness. Large pits and recumbent police cars are passing with an interesting “swinging” sound.

But on winding roads, or when maneuvering between holes, the whole character of the running gear is revealed – it keeps the car well. It is felt that the European smooth roads – its elements. The electric power steering makes the “steering wheel” airborne in place, but with increasing speed, the force on the steering wheel also increases. Disc brakes on all wheels make it clear that the car will stop exactly where you forecast. At the same time, their character is complaisant, the effort can be dosed very smoothly and gradually.
